Description
There are many theories to the origins of the cocktail muddler. One thing that’s for sure is that it makes a great Mojito.
The Mojito is Cuba’s oldest cocktail. Created to explorer Sir Francis Drake in the 1500’s and may have been originally named “el Draque”. Others believe it was created by the African cane field workers and the name stems from “mojo”.
The base of the Mojito is lime that must be gently crushed (not pounded) to ease the juice from the flesh and oils from then skin of the fruit. Other cocktails call for herbs berries and spices to be crushed, Moji can help with that too. The handle allows a firm grip for men and women. There is no need of aggressive textures on the base, a flat base is all that is needed and is easier to wipe clean.
Hand made.
Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. We use and recommend: Reviva wood finish to protect wooden utensils.
